Call to Order

 

Lindsay Raftis, Secretary called the meeting to order at 4:01 p.m.

Election

 

Mayor post provided an brief introduction and explained the proceedings of the election.

Clerk's Division - Committee Orientation

 

Lindsay Raftis, Secretary provided the committee with a training orientation.

Terms of Reference Review

 

The Committee reviewed the Terms of Reference and discussed meeting in June.

2023 Work Plan

 

The committee discussed hosting a Youth Town Hall meetings and creating a page geared toward youth in the community.

The tentative 2023 meeting dates are as follows:

Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 4:30 p.m.

Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 4:30 p.m.

Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 4:30 p.m.

New Business

 

Aislinn Main, Chair advised Westside Secondary School is going to Honour Band in Niagara Falls in May.

Avery Wetton advised Orangeville District Secondary School (ODSS) is hosting a semi-formal dance called Neon Nights on Friday, April 21.

Jack Bracken advised that ODSS will be hosting the Feeney Cup in May, the exact date to be released at a later time.

Allison Dukovski, Supervisor, Recreation Programs and Events advised that the Town is hiring Student Inclusion Camp Counsellors. Ms. Dukovski informed the committee about the sport drop in programs and roller skating that are taking place at Alder. Ms. Dukovski further advised the committee that aquatic certification training programs for 2023 are free.

The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at 4:30 p.m.
