David Nairn, Theatre Orangeville provided a pre-recorded version of the National Anthem which was played. 

The Mayor acknowledged the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe people including the Ojibway, Potawatomi and Odawa of the Three Fires Confederacy.

Mayor Brown advised the gallery and viewing audience with respect to the public nature of Council Meetings and that it is webcast.

Rob Koekkoek summarized the baseline inventory of community Greenhouse Gas Emissions within Dufferin County and indicated that for Orangeville  electricity was the source of 3% of CO2 emissions, while gasoline was 53%, Natural GAs 38% and Solid Waste 3%.

Michael Cornish outlined concerns that he has regarding vehicle noise control. 

Sylvia Bradley spoke about the concerns that she had with the survey policy process that was undertaken. Ms. Bradley also indicated that she is in favour of having a sidewalk, predominately as it is a safety issue.

Councillor Peters announced that Earth Week is being held the week of May 15, 2021.
