Prior to the Call to Order, Ray Osmond, Acting CAO acknowledged the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe people including the Ojibway, Potawatomi and Odawa of the Three Fires Confederacy.

Nicholas Mustapha led the singing of the National Anthem.

Mr. Osmond provided congratulatory and welcoming remarks to the incoming members of Council.

Carolina Khan, Clerk administered the Declaration of Office and bestowed the Chain of Office to Mayor Lisa Post for the 2022 - 2026 term of office.

Ms. Khan administered the Declaration of Office to Deputy Mayor Todd Taylor and Councillors Joe Andrews, Andy Macintosh, Tess Prendergast, Debbie Sherwood, and Rick Stevens.

Mayor Post called to order the first meeting of Orangeville Town Council for the 2022 - 2026 term of office at 7:25 p.m.

Mayor Post thanked the community, family, friends, staff and her campaign team for their support. Mayor Post expressed her excitement to work with incoming members of Council and staff and spoke to her goals for the new term.

Deputy Mayor Taylor and Councillors respectively made remarks, noted goals, and spoke to their appreciation of the support received from the community, family, friends, and staff.

Mayor Post advised the audience that the first regular Council meeting is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2022.

    A by-law to confirm the proceedings of the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Orangeville at its Inaugural Meeting held on November 21, 2022.
