Mayor Brown sang the National Anthem.

The Mayor acknowledged the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe people including the Ojibway, Potawatomi and Odawa of the Three Fires Confederacy.

Mayor Brown advised the gallery and viewing audience with respect to the public nature of Council Meetings and that it is webcast.

James Jackson outlined concerns regarding Transit including responsiveness of staff to transit concerns, transit schedules, timing and Sunday service.

    And that Council approve contemplated change notice (CCN) for the immediate remediation of structural steel columns within the Alder Recreation Centre Pool area and an additional capital fund contingency of $990,890. Inclusive of all taxes

Councillor Andrews announced the repatriation of the angel sculpture at Forest Lawn Cemetery which will take place on November 25, 2021.

Councillor Sherwood thanked Town Staff and BIA staff for arranging the tree lighting ceremony as well as Ian McSweeney and (Clair) for the donation of the tree. Councillor Sherwood provided a reminder about the Christmas Light Tour and encouraged residents to sign their house up for the tour. Councillor Sherwood also mentioned the BIA Joy Book which is a shop local initiative. 

Mayor Brown commented on the exceptional talent that performed at the tree lighting. 

Councillor Taylor announced that the Optimist lighting display at Kaycee Gardens will begin on December 3, 2021. Councillor Taylor provided a reminder of the financial cost associated with preventable calls to the O.P.P., for example false alarms and encouraged everyone to lock their vehicles. 

Mayor Brown announced that Radio Bingo is starting Tuesday, December 7, 2021.
